Hi Tom,
can you let me know how to configure the NextGen widget . I can only get it to show images in a vertical column and I like your 4 square thumbs. Can you let me know what code you used and where it goes.
Thank you,
Jonah

Hi Tom.

sorry to be contacting you... but since i have already contacted the peeps who run the NextGen Gallery Widget.. i still have no answer...
you seem to have the answer...

On your NextGen widget.. when you click on the thumbs it opens a nice image viewer over your page... How did you do this? when i activate my widget and click on the thumbs, it leads directly to the image path. YUK.

any help would be much appreciated.

regards.

Hi Robert,

I've had a few odd problems with the PicLens plugin for NextGen Gallery - even though everything is present and correct it still isn't working! Fortunately for me the Smooth Gallery plugin was a problem free install! Nevertheless I've had a look at my settings/code to see it can help you. This is the code I used for this Smooth Gallery:
<code>
[smooth=2, 500, 500, false, true, true, true]</code>
Its just placed at the bottom of the paragraph - I didn't do anything special (copied and pasted the example code off the Smooth Gallery Website if I recall correctly)

What versions of the plugins are you using? I have NextGen Gallery 0.95 and Smooth Gallery 0.10 - as shown by my sideshow there's no problems. Possibly something to do with the latest versions? (Next Gen Gallery 0.98 and Smooth Gallery 1.0)

Hope that helps!

Hey Tom...

I have been playing around with this NextGen plugin for wordpress and stumbled upon the smooth galleries earlier.. I see you have the exact thing that I was trying to do on my pre-development micro site, tuned.com.

I am mainly having issues on how to get wordpress to recognize the smoothgallery plugin. Well, it will recognize it but it brings up a message on the top of the page and says "Sorry, NextGEN Smooth Gallery works only in Combination with NextGEN Gallery".. I have NextGen installed also so to me it sounds like I have that code, that your supposed to put in, in the wrong spot. I see you have yours working perfectly and was wondering if maybe you can give me a hand. Where the hell does this damn code go? Nothing was clear on any of the sites I found it on. I think it will make a lovely addition to my site as it has to yours. Any help or direction you can steer me in is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I had similar problems on my Pipe - seemingly nothing would be coming through on even the simplest of feeds.

On your filter module for the aggregated feeds from the other 315cmc student's blogs, try changing the first rule instance from item.description to one of the other options available - it could be that not all the blogs have the contents in their item.description?

Also, Fetch Side Feed normally looks at a generic website address (i.e. http://news.bbc.co.uk) and fetches the first feed - whereas it looks like you're specifying exact RSS addresses - so maybe using 'Fetch Feed' would work better?
